July release Build-A-Flower: Primrose

Hello and welcome. Today I would like to share the new Altenew July Build-A-Flower :Primrose stamp set and the coordinating dies.

Today's 4 1/4 x 5 1/2-inch top folding note card was created out of a 8 1/2 x 11-inch card stick that was cut in half and scored in the middle. Once my card base was ready, I stamped my background using the My Favorite Things Brushed Spatter Background stamp set.

After stamping my background, I used my stitched circle die to create some dimension for the center of the card.  After the first circle was cut, I used my anti-static powder tool and white heat embossed my Primrose flowers.  Before cutting my second smaller circle, I used some Distress ink (Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, and Shaded Lilac) to create a more vibrant centerpiece. After inking, I used a microfiber cloth to wipe away any Distress ink left on my white flowers. From there, I use a one size  smaller circle die to cut the flowers from the center of my original circle. I used the same small circle to cut an additional 5 circles from some scraps and glued them to my small inked circle.

Before adhering everything down, I stamped the Primrose leaves and wedged them between the two circle cutouts. To finish off my card, I adhered some jewels from Pretty Pink Posh in random order.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. If you have not already, please visit the Altenew website and check out the new July Build-A-Flower: Primrose release.

I can't wait to see what you create with this awesome stamp set. See you in the next post, bye.
