XOXO backdrop: portrait

Hello, crafty creators. Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today I wanted to share a little ink blending in preparation for Valentine's day. I also wanted to show off Lawn Fawn’s XOXO backdrop: portrait die.

For the first ink blended card, I decided to use my Distress Oxide inks along with my Life-changing blender brushes from Picket Fence Studios. I blended the following colors: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry.

After the ink blending was done, I decided the fill in all the O’s with their center cut-outs. To be honest, it is not my favorite look, but I don’t one hundred percent hate it either. I would have rather left them out or instead, add gems to fill in the centers.

To adhere to the background of my cardstock, I used some liquid glue I had on hand. Instead of adding liquid glue, I will use stick it adhesive sheets and make my cardstock one big sticker to hide any glue that may seep through. The glue does dry clear, however, once dried, it kind of left a sheen behind but it is all personal preference.

For the second ink blending, I used the following colors: Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, and Wilted Violet. I repeated the same steps when creating the first card but left out the center of the O’s.
I hope these backgrounds will inspire you to create some beautiful ink blending backgrounds and as always, I can’t wait to see what you create.

Frosty Littles

Hello, Crafty Friends! Today I wanted to showcase the Hello Bluebirds Frosty littles and Frosty Friends stamp set with the coordinating dies.

I began my card with a little Copic coloring as the images were fairly small. For the background, I decided to use my Distress Oxide inks for some ink blending, along with the Pinket fence life-changing blender brushes. By the way, the brushes are truly life-changing and are amazing to work with!!

After coloring and ink blending, I utilized the My Favorite Things Snowfall Stencil along with the Tonic Studios Silver Glimmer Paste for added dimension.

I decided to create a winter scene by using some fabulous Lawn Fawn products and added the snowy hillsides using the stitched hillside borders die and finished the card by framing the scene with the Peek-a-boo backdrop die.

For the inside sentiment, I used the Christmas Dreams stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and as always, I can't wait to see all your crafty creations.
